Weight at the wheel is the most expensive weight on a car: it is unsprung and it rotates, so every kilogram removed pays back twice. RAZOR TEC lightweight forged wheels are FEA-modelled per fitment, so material is left only where the load path needs it.
Forging aligns the grain of the 6061-T6 aluminium along that load path, which is why a forged wheel can be run thinner than a cast one at the same strength. Typical savings are 20–30% against the factory wheel, and more again if you specify a carbon fiber barrel.
The result is faster steering response, better damper control over broken surfaces, shorter braking distances and — on EVs — measurable extra range. Load ratings are still set to the vehicle's kerb weight, so nothing is traded away on the road.

- How much weight can I actually save?
- Around 3–5 kg per corner on a 20–21" supercar fitment, and 6–8 kg per corner on a 22–24" SUV fitment with carbon barrels.
- Does a lighter wheel hurt strength?
- No. Each wheel is designed to the vehicle's load rating first; the weight comes out of material that carries no load, not out of the safety margin.
- What difference does it make to drive?
- Sharper turn-in, less kickback over bumps, quicker acceleration and braking response — the same reason motorsport regulations chase unsprung mass.
- Are lightweight wheels suitable for daily driving?
- Yes. All fitments are road load-rated and carry a 5 year structural warranty.
